HR Generalist (Mining)

Location: Onsite in Elko, Nevada, USA

What you will do

• Develop, review, and implement HR policies and procedures aligned with employment laws and business objectives.
• Partner with hiring managers on job descriptions, recruitment, onboarding, compensation, benefits, and employee integration.
• Advise employees, supervisors, and leadership on employee relations, corrective guidance, performance management, and conflict resolution.
• Maintain confidential employee records, HR documentation, compliance files, and electronic HR information systems.
• Produce workforce reports and analytics, coordinate merit review cycles, and support workforce planning.
• Lead employee engagement, training, wellness, workplace safety, and continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with site and regional leadership.

Requirements

• At least five years of progressively responsible human resources experience.
• Experience with employee relations, employment-law compliance, performance management, and confidential employee matters.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, conflict-resolution, and consensus-building skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work onsite at the Elko, Nevada facility.

Nice to have

• PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
• Human resources experience in manufacturing, mining, construction, or heavy equipment.
• Experience with HRIS platforms, workforce analytics, multi-site operations, or regional HR initiatives.
