Product Manager (Preprints)

What you will do

• Manage customer-facing preprint experiences, helping users discover, connect, publish and manage preprints with Research Square.
• Develop and execute product strategy across commercial, editorial, technical and customer needs.
• Work with internal development, UX, customer experience, research, publishing and editorial teams to deliver and optimize user journeys.
• Use customer research, data insights, product metrics and funnels to guide product decisions.
• Manage products throughout the lifecycle, from inception and roadmap definition to optimization and retirement.
• Support product management practice and develop product skills with Associate Product Managers and Product Managers.

Requirements

• University education in a relevant area or equivalent demonstrable experience.
• Established track record in product development and management, including customer-focused digital products in technology or a relevant industry.
• Proven success in meeting quantitative, qualitative and commercial product goals.
• Experience using customer research and data to drive product strategy.
• Demonstrable experience working in Agile software development teams and influencing improvements to technical capabilities.
• Strong stakeholder management, influencing, negotiation and decision-making skills, with an understanding of product design, strategy, development, engineering and systems design.
