Computer Engineer III

Location: On-site in McLean, Virginia, or Virginia Beach, Virginia; travel up to 20% within and outside the continental United States

Salary: $125,000–$135,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, and manage complex DoD software and training systems from inception through completion.
• Develop computer system architectures and Navy Combat System training solutions.
• Build reliable, high-performance systems using C, C++, Java, and real-time messaging technologies.
• Apply simulation architecture standards including High Level Architecture and Distributed Interactive Simulation.
• Manage software version control and source-code baselines.
• Support operational systems including Aegis, SSDS, NAVSSI, GPNTS, and BFTT/ATD.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in computer, software, electrical, or electronics engineering; computer science; information systems management; or systems engineering.
• At least 10 years of professional experience in software development, computer networks, or systems engineering focused on software development and integration.
• Experience with computer architecture, Red Hat Linux, virtualization technologies such as VMware and RHEV, and model-based systems engineering software.
• Experience with DoD software projects, combat system design and training, DDS, HLA, DIS, and relevant IEEE or industry standards.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and have an active Secret clearance before starting.
