Senior Software Engineer (C++/Java)

Location: Liberty Lake, Washington, United States; flexible hybrid work schedule

Base salary: $120,000–$145,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, maintain, and improve the Apex Server application, including architectural changes, complex features, performance enhancements, and critical bug fixes.
• Lead significant development projects from scoping and prioritization through delivery.
• Collaborate with Product Management, stakeholders, senior engineers, other departments, and customers to solve complex use cases.
• Mentor software engineers and guide technical discussions on tools, frameworks, architecture, and development practices.
• Ensure code quality through peer reviews, testing, monitoring, deployment verification, and maintainable design.
• Participate in Agile process improvements and use AI-powered development tools to accelerate engineering work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Expertise in C++ and Java, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and quality-focused development skills.
• Hands-on experience using AI-powered development tools to accelerate software engineering tasks.
