Senior Software Engineer, Java | Vulnerability (AI)

Location: Remote within the USA for residents of CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, KS, MA, MD, ME, NJ, NC, NY, OH, OR, TN, TX, VA, or WA; hybrid work is available from offices in Austin, TX, or Tampa, FL. Onsite interviews may be required. Chicago city limits are excluded unless the candidate self-relocates.

Salary: $140,000–$200,000 per year for roles based in California, Colorado, New Jersey, Washington, or New York.

What you will do

• Design and develop large-scale Java and Kotlin backend applications.
• Build services for continuous vulnerability detection, CVE correlation, and remediation workflows.
• Scale high-availability systems supporting millions of endpoints and servers.
• Implement object-oriented design patterns and enterprise-level software solutions.
• Develop REST APIs and responsive client-server messaging capabilities.
• Collaborate with product and detection teams to reduce customers' remediation time.

Requirements

• 10+ years of Java software development experience for product applications or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of experience with highly scalable software systems.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented design, data structures, API best practices, and REST service development with Jersey or Spring.
• Experience with relational database design, caching systems, and Redis.
• Expert knowledge of software quality testing practices.
