TL;DR
Production Scheduler (Aerospace): Developing and maintaining resource-loaded production schedules for flight hardware, tooling, and test equipment with an accent on factory workcenter planning, schedule integration, and risk management. Focus on modeling schedule outcomes, identifying production constraints, implementing MRP data processes, and coordinating clear execution targets across production, engineering, software, and procurement.

Location: San Francisco, United States. U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status required due to U.S. Government space technology export regulations.

Base salary: $100,000–$140,000 USD per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain detailed resource-loaded schedules for factory workcenters handling flight hardware, R&D hardware, tooling, and test equipment.
  • Work with production leadership and engineering program management to create realistic, aggressive plans and integrate them into end-to-end program schedules.
  • Define and communicate priorities and delivery targets for hardware and processes across production workcenters.
  • Identify schedule risks, assess impacts, develop workarounds, and model alternative outcomes for emerging issues.
  • Create and improve scheduling processes and tools for identifying and addressing production constraints.
  • Coordinate with software and procurement teams to implement and maintain an accurate Material Requirements Planning system, while reporting schedule status through dashboards, meetings, and written updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a similar technical discipline, or at least two years of professional aerospace industry experience.
  • At least two years of professional experience as a program manager, manufacturing engineer, or scheduler.
  • Ability to manage complex schedules and large datasets, identify issues early, and convert detailed plans into clear execution targets.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including stakeholder coordination and presentation.
  • U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Smartsheet or MS Project.
  • SQL query-writing skills and experience creating dashboards in Grafana, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP-based planning and scheduling.
  • Understanding of the aerospace engineering lifecycle and spacecraft assembly, integration, and test methods.
