Buyer (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in San Jose, California, United States. Infrequent travel may be required.

Base pay: $83,700–$115,100 per year.

Develops advanced air mobility technologies, including air taxis, unmanned aircraft systems, and aviation-related physical AI solutions for commercial aerospace and defense customers.

What you will do

• Place and manage purchase orders for aircraft materials, tools, lab supplies, and other production-supporting goods and services.
• Work onsite with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, finance, and program teams to fulfill urgent material needs.
• Drive purchase approvals, purchase-order accuracy, closure, supplier deliveries, and schedule-risk mitigation.
• Inventory received parts physically and digitally, and notify part owners when materials are available.
• Support pre-SIOP reporting, projections versus actuals, PPV reporting, budget alignment, and invoice discrepancy resolution.
• Source aircraft materials and process non-PO purchases through approved emergency and P-Card procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a similar field.
• Ability to work onsite and embed with engineering and manufacturing teams in San Jose.
• Experience with SAP ERP or an equivalent MRP/procurement system.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated aircraft-development environment.
• Detail-oriented, results-driven, proactive communicator and strong team player.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.

Nice to have

• Experience in the aerospace or automotive industry.
• APICS certification.
• Experience with rapid prototyping, first-article builds, or low-rate initial production programs.
