Registered Nurse Medical Intermediate Full Time Nights (Med-Surg)

Location: 25 N. Winfield Rd., Winfield, Illinois, United States; onsite night shifts, 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m., with rotating weekends

Salary: USD 34.50–55.20 per hour

What you will do

• Provide inpatient nursing care in a 26-bed, fast-paced, mixed-acuity Medical Intermediate Unit.
• Care for patients with complex medical conditions, postoperative needs, and clinical instability.
• Perform frequent clinical assessments and deliver timely interventions.
• Monitor patients continuously through cardiac monitoring.
• Collaborate with colleagues and apply strong analytical and interpersonal skills during overnight shifts.

Requirements

• BSN required; an ADN is acceptable with a commitment to complete a BSN within three years of starting the clinical nurse role.
• Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and analytical skills.
• Successful candidates must complete a background check in accordance with applicable Illinois and federal laws.

Nice to have

• Medical stepdown experience.
• Emergency Room or Pediatric Emergency Room experience.
• Trauma Nurse Specialist, Emergency Communications Registered Nurse, Certified Pediatric Nurse, or Certified Emergency Nurse credentials.
