TL;DR
Medical Assistant - Foundation Gastroenterology - Full Time - Foundation Medical Partners (Clinical Care/Healthcare): Supporting gastroenterology providers and nurses through patient assessments, medication administration, specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and medical office workflows with an accent on accurate documentation, patient communication, and coordinated care. Focus on administering clinical procedures under supervision, preparing visits, maintaining Epic records, and mentoring clinical team members while following infection-control and HIPAA standards.

Location: Nashua, NH, United States; onsite role. Work shift: 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

What you will do

  • Support providers and registered nurses with patient care, including medication administration, immunizations, and point-of-care testing.
  • Collect health histories, vital signs, and specimens, and accurately document findings in the medical record.
  • Communicate provider instructions and care plans to patients and families.
  • Prepare patient visits by coordinating documentation, testing, and outreach.
  • Handle scheduling, medical records, patient service tasks, and telehealth-related support.
  • Mentor new staff and clinical team members while following infection-control, safety, HIPAA, and organizational standards.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program with a clinical externship.
  • Current certification or registration as a Medical Assistant through AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.
  • At least 2 years of clinical medical assistant experience; 3 or more years preferred.
  • Experience with specimen collection, medication administration, vital signs, Epic EMR, and medical office workflows.
  • Strong communication, adaptability, attention to detail, teamwork, and multitasking skills.
