Medical Assistant (Healthcare)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States. Full-time, Monday–Friday, with scheduled hours varying between 7:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.; no weekends.

Salary: $25.00–$40.65 per hour.

What you will do

• Interview patients and measure vital signs, including pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient health records.
• Prepare treatment rooms and clean and sterilize instruments.
• Administer medications and injections, perform laboratory tests, and operate EKG and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations.
• Support front-desk operations, schedule appointments, make follow-up calls, and order medical supplies.

Requirements

• National Medical Assisting certification from a hirify.global-approved organization, or a certificate/diploma and transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with a completed hands-on externship; fully online courses are not accepted.
• Current Basic Life Support certification with hands-on training from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider.
• Previous Medical Assistant experience is preferred.
• Ability to work onsite at the Sunnyvale, California health center.
