Principal Electrical Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Define enterprise engineering strategies, architectures, design methodologies, standards, and technology roadmaps.
• Provide technical leadership across electrical, mechanical, systems, software, manufacturing, integration and test, quality, and program teams.
• Guide the detailed design of systems, subsystems, subassemblies, critical parts, and firmware/software.
• Evaluate performance, simulations, qualification testing, system interactions, engineering risks, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Approve electrical design and verification approaches while resolving complex challenges across multiple programs.
• Mentor senior engineers, lead transformational engineering initiatives, and provide post-production and in-orbit customer support.

Requirements

• Must work on-site in Austin, Texas.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, conditional resident, asylee, refugee, or eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations.
• Bachelor’s degree with 15–19 years of related experience, or master’s degree with 12–17 years of related experience in electrical, electronics, computer, or related engineering.
• Expertise in signal integrity, EMI/EMC, hardware integration, qualification testing, system interfaces, multidisciplinary integration, and engineering technologies.
• Proficiency with EDA, circuit simulation, and analysis tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, LTspice, MATLAB, or equivalent applications.
• Strong experience with engineering analysis, configuration management, and collaboration tools such as Windchill, Git, Jira, or equivalent applications.
