Senior CAD Designer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Provide SolidWorks drawing support throughout the product development process.
• Create and modify product models, drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Identify CAD design and drawing issues and implement corrective actions.
• Manage mechanical digital data, drawings, and hardware structures in SolidWorks PDM.
• Prepare and incorporate engineering change orders.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected individual status, or eligibility to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations is required under space technology export regulations.
• Technical degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a similar field, or four additional years of relevant experience without a degree.
• At least five years of experience as a CAD drafter.
• Proficiency or expert knowledge of CAD tools; experience with SolidWorks is preferred.
• Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings, and product specifications.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, collaboration, and deadline-management skills.

Nice to have

• Mechanical manufacturing knowledge, including CNC, 3D printing, and mechanical assembly.
• Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 and ASME Y14.100 standards.
• Experience with electronic packages, ground structures, mechanisms, composite structures, aerospace, or automotive electronics.
