Associate Actuarial - Analytics/Forecasting (Databricks)

Location: Remote Kentucky, United States; occasional travel to hirify.global offices may be required for training or meetings. Typical working hours are Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm.

Salary: $106,900–$147,000 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Analyze financial, economic, market, industry, and competitive data for forecasting and business decisions.
• Develop and maintain metrics, reporting, analytical models, and forecasting models.
• Work primarily in Databricks to build and enhance Net Present Valuation models for Medicare Supplement, Dental & Vision, and Medicaid.
• Establish data-flow and quality controls, investigate anomalies, perform root cause analysis, and implement practical solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to resolve model issues and improve model performance, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Independently manage moderately complex to complex assignments and contribute analytical insight to departmental strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Associate of Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation.
• Eligibility for hirify.global’s Actuarial Professional Development Program (APDP).
• Membership in the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).
• Strong written and verbal professional communication skills.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Nice to have

• Advanced experience with SQL or SAS for analyzing and managing complex data sets and models.
• Strong model-building skills.
• Familiarity with Python or Oracle.
