Senior Personal Safety Professional (Oil and Gas)

Location: Anchorage, Alaska, United States; supports terminal operations across Alaska and Washington with 40–50% travel.

What you will do

• Provide safety oversight and technical support for West–Northwest Area Terminal Operations.
• Serve as the local contact for safety programs, behavior-based safety, leadership engagement, and safety initiatives.
• Deliver safety training, evaluate Life Critical skills, assess risks, and develop mitigation plans.
• Review commissioning, decommissioning, recommissioning, management of change, energy isolation, and other safety plans.
• Conduct audits, job-site visits, permit and lift-plan reviews, and hazard assessments.
• Respond to emergencies through the Incident Command System, including air monitoring and health and safety planning.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with 6 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree with 4 or more years of relevant experience.
• Ability to manage complex projects with limited support and prioritize competing demands.
• Ability to identify operational risks and implement effective mitigations.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience supporting field operations across a large geographic area and working independently.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
• Relevant certification such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM.
• Strong background in oil and gas operations, safety, or both.
