What you will do

  • Lead a nuclear manufacturing unit with approximately $45 million in revenue and manage daily safety, quality, delivery, inventory, productivity, and cost performance.
  • Lead, coach, and manage approximately 20 direct reports, including chemists, production leaders, and manufacturing technicians.
  • Own hiring, onboarding, training, development, performance management, employee relations, and disciplinary processes for direct reports.
  • Develop production schedules and operating plans, adjust priorities for equipment failures and expedite requests, and resolve workflow bottlenecks.
  • Coordinate planning, engineering, quality, inspection, technology, and purchasing support for production and improvement initiatives.
  • Deploy continuous-improvement practices, including visual management and 6S, while supporting NCR resolution, ECN execution, router creation, and procedure improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, or a high school diploma/GED with at least five years of manufacturing experience.
  • At least three additional years of operations or manufacturing management experience.
  • Ability to read and follow drawings, schematics, and procedures.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and operational priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong oral and written communication, analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.

Nice to have

  • Strong manufacturing and process background with lean manufacturing experience.
  • Experience building trust, teamwork, accountability, and employee development.
  • Background in machining, welding, or soldering.
  • Knowledge of SAP business systems.
