Plant Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Louisville, Kentucky, United States; primarily office-based with frequent interaction on the plant floor.

What you will do

• Lead Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Scheduling, and Quality teams in a 24/5, three-shift operation.
• Coordinate production schedules, resource utilization, operational priorities, and communication across departments.
• Drive performance against productivity, cost, OEE, quality, machine uptime, and other operational metrics.
• Develop, coach, and evaluate employees while building a high-performance operations team and succession pipeline.
• Partner with Sales, Materials, Shipping and Receiving, R&D, and other functions on process improvements and customer support.
• Support environmental compliance, operational systems, business planning, and customer visits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 7 years of manufacturing experience, preferably including 5 years in leadership and experience leading other leaders.
• Ability to lead and develop employees across multiple shifts, manage projects, and achieve objectives through others.
• Strong computer, data analysis, financial, relationship-building, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated success in continuous improvement; Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma training is strongly preferred.
• Willingness to travel as needed, less than 10%.

• Experience with Lean tools, Six Sigma, visual management, and waste reduction.
