Engineering Technician (BIM)

Location: Onsite positions in Plano/Dallas, Texas; Bentonville, Arkansas; or Lenexa, Kansas. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

What you will do

• Assist engineers and designers with layouts, details, schedules, drawings, and other project documentation.
• Produce and maintain accurate 3D BIM models for mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, refrigeration, technology, or electrical systems.
• Set up models, sheets, and views while following industry and organizational BIM standards.
• Participate in coordination meetings and communicate client and architect questions to engineering and design teams.
• Visit job sites, support selected business development activities, and participate in client or industry events as needed.
• Research products, industry trends, codes, and standards while developing discipline knowledge.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• High technical aptitude and the ability to learn and use different systems and processes.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate with designers at all levels.
• Ability to solve problems using reasoning and judgment, receive feedback, and work effectively in group projects.
• Successful completion of the BIM training program and legal authorization to work in the United States are required.

Nice to have

• Fundamental knowledge of the architecture and engineering industry.
• Familiarity with Revit and Bluebeam Revu.
