Packaging Machine Operator 3rd Shift

Location: Beloit, Wisconsin, United States; onsite, 3rd shift

Pay rate: $22.50/hour

What you will do

• Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize packaging machinery for safe and continuous production.
• Set up equipment, perform changeovers, adjust machine programs, and maintain code date configurations.
• Manage labels, packaging materials, product codes, dates, pricing information, and package integrity.
• Perform nitrogen testing, metal detector verification, batch checks, scale calibration, and other quality controls.
• Complete preventive maintenance, minor repairs, equipment adjustments, cleaning, and sanitation.
• Coordinate with production, maintenance, quality, food safety, warehouse, and engineering personnel; provide guidance to Packagers when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least one year of production experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to operate production equipment, troubleshoot mechanical issues, perform adjustments, and complete minor repairs.
• Ability to read production schedules, operating procedures, and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills with a commitment to food safety and quality.
• Ability to work overnight shifts, mandatory overtime, extended standing, repetitive tasks, and frequent lifting up to 60 pounds; occasional lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Nice to have

• Experience with automated packaging equipment, vertical form-fill-seal systems, scales, case sealers, robotic cells, or related equipment.
• Experience with MicroStrategy, machine programming, micro logic editing, or code date management.
• Experience with preventive maintenance, equipment calibration, forklifts, or pallet jacks.
• Leadership, training, Good Manufacturing Practices, food safety, quality systems, or continuous improvement experience.
