Market Associate - Power Trading Analytics (Energy)

Location: Boston, US

Salary: $75,000–$85,000 annual base pay, excluding short-term incentives and commission.

What you will do

• Deliver short-term North American power market forecasts and analytics using proprietary and public data.
• Operate spatial, data visualization, and power flow applications to identify and solve ISO market problems.
• Analyze current-day and next-day operational and financial risks for asset owners, traders, and retailers.
• Lead customer calls, trainings, and product demonstrations for Power Trading Analytics products.
• Develop seasonal outlooks covering congestion patterns, transmission upgrades, and outages.
• Analyze large datasets, improve regional support workbooks, automate critical tasks, and present market research to decision-makers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, or an energy-related discipline.
• Previous experience in a power or trading vertical.
• At least 2 years of business or professional work experience.
• Ability to lead and train entry-level associates and analysts.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, Visual Basic, or comparable programming languages.
• ERCOT, MISO, or SPP experience.
