Webmaster / Web Content Administrator (Liferay)

Location: Hybrid; candidates must reside in the DC/MD/VA area and attend onsite collaboration sessions in Reston, Virginia weekly or bi-weekly depending on the project phase.

What you will do

• Own the operational maintenance, updates, and overall health of the Liferay-based Blue Web Portal.
• Manage content layouts, documentation presentation, site architecture, taxonomy, and content audits.
• Represent end-user needs and ensure logical platform flows, effective navigation, and a consistent user experience.
• Act as the liaison between Communications and the Scrum development team, translating business and design needs into platform requirements.
• Use Google Analytics to analyze user behavior and improve site search and navigation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience administering enterprise-level content management systems.
• Strong experience with content strategy, taxonomy structures, content auditing, and site search optimization.
• Deep experience using Google Analytics to analyze user behavior and platform performance.
• Experience working in a Scrum development framework.
• Ability to follow a hybrid schedule with periodic onsite collaboration in Reston, Virginia.

Nice to have

• Experience with Liferay CMS.
• Healthcare insurance experience, particularly with Blue Cross Blue Shield organizations or the Blue Web platform.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
