BigCommerce Developer (eCommerce): Building and optimizing high‑performing eCommerce websites on the BigCommerce platform with an accent on custom theme development and API integration. Location: Remote (Global). Note: Must be available to work 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time.

Salary: $17–$35 per hour (for candidates in CA, NY, WA, and CO)

What you will do

• Develop and customize high-performing eCommerce websites on the BigCommerce platform.
• Create custom themes using the Stencil framework, Handlebars, and front matter.
• Build interactive, data-driven features and reusable widgets utilizing the Storefront GraphQL API.
• Migrate websites from other eCommerce platforms to BigCommerce.
• Optimize websites for page speed, performance, SEO, and conversion rate optimization.
• Convert complex PSD layouts into pixel-perfect, cross-browser compatible HTML5/CSS3 templates.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in BigCommerce website development.
• Expertise in the Stencil framework, Storefront APIs, and GraphQL.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES5/6), and jQuery.
• English: Strong written and spoken communication skills required.
• Availability: Must work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
• Reliable workstation with high-speed internet and necessary peripherals.

Nice to have

• BigCommerce certification.
• Experience with WordPress, Magento, or Shopify.
• Proficiency in ReactJS, AngularJS, PHP, or MySQL.
• Knowledge of SEO and CRO best practices for eCommerce.
