Product Engineer (Mechanical)

Location: Springfield, MA, USA; onsite

Company

Develops fluid and gas management products, including hoses and couplings, for demanding aerospace, chemical, automotive, transportation, and industrial applications.

What you will do

• Lead new product development from concept and design through analysis, validation testing, and production handoff.
• Design and modify fabricated and assembled components using standard engineering practices and CAD software.
• Develop assembly methods, production processes, tooling requirements, and manufacturing feasibility assessments.
• Oversee prototyping, manufacturing, assembly, and testing of newly developed products.
• Investigate product failures, devise test setups, and analyze engineering and test data.
• Provide technical support to sales and customers, including customer-site application investigations and project ownership.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline.
• At least three years of experience designing fabricated or assembled components.
• Strong mechanical inclination and interest in hands-on design engineering.
• Experience with mathematical modeling, simulations, control theories, and process optimization using industrial equipment.
• Strong understanding of material properties and failure modes, along with excellent problem-solving, analytical, troubleshooting, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Willingness to work onsite in Springfield, Massachusetts, and travel to customer applications when required.
