Product Development Specialist (Electrical)

Location: On-site in Austin, Texas, with at least four days per week at the hirify.global Center. Travel may include up to 15% domestic or international travel. Relocation may be authorized. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Expected compensation: $124,127–$151,710, including base pay and variable incentive pay where eligible.

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership for new product and new technology introduction initiatives.
• Develop and run simulations for medium-voltage and high-voltage product designs.
• Create CAD models and guide design efforts across electrical product applications.
• Support development from prototyping and feasibility demonstrations through model validation and refinement.
• Coordinate with marketing, manufacturing, supply chain, sales, technical service, quality, and regulatory functions.
• Develop intellectual property through invention submissions, patents, and trade secrets while commercializing energy products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or science from an accredited institution.
• At least three years of experience in product development, engineering, or technical service.
• At least three years of practical experience with CAD drawings and software.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, and thermal modeling is beneficial for success in the role.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship is required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or higher.
• Experience with multiphysics modeling and industry-standard CAD and modeling software suites.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping, simulation, testing, and design validation.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a customer-first mindset.
