Lead Technical Program Manager (GenAI Platform)

Location: US - Foster City, California; at least 3 days per week in the office. The role requires 5–10% travel.

Salary: $192,300–$307,600 USD per year, excluding potential bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Drive major initiatives to build, operate, and evolve hirify.global’s centralized GenAI inference platform.
• Lead programs covering global scale, inference performance, capacity, resilience, observability, reliability, and operational maturity.
• Coordinate model deployment, hosting, onboarding, evaluation, lifecycle management, and compliance activities across on-premises and third-party environments.
• Manage technical and operational dependencies with engineering, architecture, infrastructure, privacy, compliance, platform consumers, and external model providers.
• Advance intelligent model routing, model selection, token efficiency, inference cost optimization, and other AI platform capabilities.
• Define program scope, milestones, risks, dependencies, success criteria, and stakeholder communications from ambiguity through production delivery.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, 8+ years with an advanced degree, or 3+ years with a PhD.
• Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, artificial intelligence, or a related technical or quantitative field.
• Experience building software or operating complex technical systems, with the ability to understand architecture diagrams, API contracts, distributed systems, and data flows.
• Experience delivering complex, cross-team engineering programs and operating large-scale, globally distributed technology platforms.
• Experience with generative AI, large language models, AI platforms, model inference, or machine learning infrastructure.
• Technical depth in areas such as AI/LLMs, model serving, APIs, distributed systems, cloud or on-premises infrastructure, Kubernetes, platform engineering, CI/CD, DevOps, observability, or performance engineering.

Nice to have

• 12+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, 8–10 years with an advanced degree, or 6+ years with a PhD.
• Academic or research experience applying AI to decision-making, optimization, or complex problem solving.
• Experience operating technology in a regulated environment.
• Experience with hirify.global or the payments industry.
