Technical Program Manager, Release Management (AI)

Salary: $131,000–$190,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Define release scope, cadence, schedules, branch cuts, code freezes, release candidates, general availability, patches, and hotfix lines.
• Track committed features, dependencies, blocking defects, readiness evidence, and the critical path to release.
• Drive risk assessment, scope–schedule–quality trade-offs, go/no-go decisions, and release retrospectives.
• Coordinate deployment windows, resolve field issues, manage escalations, and execute rollback or contingency plans.
• Partner with engineering, product, data science, quality engineering, cloud operations, release engineering, and infrastructure teams.
• Improve release tooling and processes, onboard teams, measure release performance, and maintain documentation and audit trails.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or graduate degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in technical program management, release management, or engineering program ownership for commercial software products.
• End-to-end software release ownership, including scope definition, dependency and risk management, scheduling, and production delivery.
• Working fluency with source control, branching strategies, CI/CD, test automation, defect triage, and cloud deployment.
• Strong understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, plus experience with Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and tools such as Jira.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience in software engineering, quality engineering, or data science.
• Experience releasing enterprise platforms or PaaS products for internal application teams and external customers.
• Experience with multi-cloud or air-gapped deployments and compliance-constrained processes such as FedRAMP or SOC 2.
• PMP, Agile, or Scrum certification.
