Engineering Director (Energy Efficiency)

Location: Remote - Pennsylvania; candidates must live in one of the posted locations.

Target compensation: $170k+ total target compensation, including base salary and bonus.

What you will do

• Lead engineering managers, engineers, and energy analysts while maintaining accountability for budgets and strategic direction.
• Oversee the engineering aspects of contracts, proposals, and complex business-development initiatives.
• Develop regional engineering staffing plans, including hiring needs and reporting structures.
• Provide technical oversight for work across the assigned territory, including impact evaluation results.
• Ensure timely, high-quality technical delivery and coordinate resources, tools, and strategies across engineering teams.
• Build internal and external networks and represent the engineering function as a spokesperson.

Requirements

• Must live in one of the posted locations in Pennsylvania.
• 10+ years of engineering experience.
• 8+ years of engineering team management experience.
• Engineering degree required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship or immigration support.
• Must pass applicable pre-employment checks and meet DOT requirements when applicable.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience with residential, industrial, and commercial building engineering.
