Associate Director, Development Manager (Construction)

Location: Hybrid in Richmond, VA; Washington, DC; or Raleigh, NC, United States

Salary: $153,846–$215,385 per year, depending on experience, skills, and education.

What you will do

• Manage key client accounts and develop long-term relationships based on partnership and trust.
• Develop new business opportunities and secure repeat projects with existing clients.
• Oversee strategic construction projects and deliver contracted outcomes within performance measures.
• Apply cost management expertise across pre- and post-contract project phases.
• Negotiate contract terms and commercial agreements with clients and contractors.
• Lead, mentor, and develop teams while ensuring high-quality client delivery.

Requirements

• 10+ years of construction experience, including cost management experience in the data centre sector.
• Strong operational management experience in a dynamic environment.
• Experience with pre- and post-contract cost management within data centres.
• Degree or comparable experience in cost management or quantity surveying.
• Chartered status; RICS membership is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence leading client meetings.
