Medical Writer II

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada; office-based role with occasional travel for client, stakeholder, or off-site meetings.

Salary: CAD 83,000–87,000 per year; applicable to locations in Canada.

What you will do

• Conduct structured and systematic searches of medical literature and critically review, interpret, and synthesize findings.
• Draft manuscripts, abstracts, posters, technical reports, slide decks, clinical summaries, product dossiers, and value messages.
• Develop marketing and sales materials, objection handlers, client communications, and meeting presentations.
• Review, edit, format, and perform quality assurance on written materials and final documents.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders, clinicians, health economists, clients, and other key opinion leaders.
• Participate in and potentially lead project meetings; support project scope, timelines, strategy, and junior staff development.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in a medical- or mathematics-related field such as biology, epidemiology, pharmacology, health economics, or statistics.
• At least one year of experience as a medical or scientific writer.
• Strong written and oral communication, attention to detail, critical thinking, analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, communicate with peers, senior management, and clients, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work in the Toronto, Canada office; Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
