Optical Manufacturing Technician

What you will do

• Fabricate high-precision optical components using CNC milling, grinding, and polishing equipment.
• Operate deposition chambers and perform precise alignment and assembly of glass parts.
• Inspect optical characteristics using advanced metrology tools and create maps of surface defects.
• Maintain area, tooling, and equipment according to 5S standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and management teams to improve operational efficiency and safety.
• Clean optical surfaces and ensure all components meet rigorous quality specifications.

Requirements

• Must be work authorized in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
• Must be legally authorized to access controlled technology under US Export Administration Regulations.
• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in a vocational trade preferred.
• Ability to work a compressed 12-hour shift schedule (Front End Days: Sun-Tue, alt Wed).
• Willingness to work in a clean room environment wearing full protective gear.
• Ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds and work around lasers, chemicals, and high-noise environments.
