Production Tech 2 (Optics)

What you will do

• Perform manual and automated assembly of optical components and modules according to manufacturing instructions.
• Conduct in-process and final testing using specified equipment and procedures.
• Operate production equipment and complete accurate production, test, and quality documentation.
• Identify and report product defects, process anomalies, and equipment malfunctions to supervisors or engineering staff.
• Follow safety regulations, cleanroom protocols, and quality management requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree in electronics, optics, manufacturing, or a related technical field is preferred.
• 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing or production, preferably in optics, electronics, or a related high-tech industry.
• Experience handling small components and using precision tools such as microscopes, calipers, and soldering irons.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manufacturing instructions, with a basic understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in San Jose, California, in a cleanroom while wearing a full bunny suit and PPE.
• Ability to stand during the shift, lift 20–30 pounds, work near people and equipment, work overtime on short notice, and follow a compressed shift schedule.
