Optical Operations Technician (Laser Alignment)

What you will do

• Assemble vacuum assemblies and operate pumps and pressure vessels.
• Perform optical assembly, laser alignment, and opto-mechanical work.
• Follow documented work instructions, standard operating procedures, cleanroom protocols, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Support lean manufacturing and 5S implementation and maintenance.
• Participate in stand-up meetings, communicate blockers, and coordinate work with multifunctional teams.
• Participate in laser safety audits while expanding knowledge of laser systems and optical processes.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree with 1–3 years of high-average-power or high-intensity laser work, or 3–5 years of laser alignment experience.
• Experience with opto-mechanical assembly and laser alignment.
• Ability to handle fragile optics precisely.
• Experience working in a cleanroom and following strict safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, planning, organization, communication, documentation, and time-management skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee.
