Financial Analyst (Telecommunications)

Location: Charlotte, NC, United States; primarily office-based hybrid work

What you will do

• Prepare, analyze, and distribute recurring financial reports, dashboards, KPIs, and management reporting packages.
• Analyze financial and operational results to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close reporting through variance analysis and management commentary.
• Partner with Finance, Sales & Marketing, Operations, IT, and other functions to improve forecasts and financial accuracy.
• Maintain financial accounting and reporting systems and support ad hoc analyses, executive presentations, and strategic initiatives.
• Improve reporting and month-end close processes through process enhancements and automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in corporate finance, accounting, financial reporting, FP&A, or a related analytical finance role.
• Strong understanding of income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis.
• Experience with SAP, Hyperion/Essbase, or similar accounting and reporting systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and collaboration skills, with proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office applications.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree, MBA, CPA, CMA, or another relevant professional certification.
• Experience in telecommunications, technology, or infrastructure.
• Experience with enterprise planning, executive reporting, or management reporting.
• Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence and data visualization tools.
