Associate (Growth Finance)

Location: On-site in Los Angeles, California; compensation also lists San Francisco, California and Washington, DC. U.S. Person status or eligibility to obtain required export authorizations is required.

Salary: $150,000–$190,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Build and own financial models for factory builds, manufacturing capability investments, and program-level spending.
• Evaluate investments using ROI, payback period, cash impact, scenario analysis, and trade-offs across cost, schedule, and scope.
• Support corporate development and capital markets work across M&A, carve-outs, equity investments, and joint ventures.
• Structure partnership and joint venture economics, term sheets, waterfall mechanics, downside cases, and counterparty diligence.
• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, program management, accounting, legal, and investor relations teams to connect financial plans with operational milestones.
• Provide program performance insights, improve forecasting and reporting infrastructure, and prepare executive- and board-facing materials.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, private equity or growth equity, private credit, management consulting, corporate development, or strategy and operations.
• Ability to build complex financial models from a blank page, including cash flow forecasts and scenario analyses.
• Ability to carry ambiguous, cross-functional work through to a decision and manage multiple concurrent work streams.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including the ability to compress complex analysis for senior decision-makers.
• Curiosity about physical manufacturing, ownership, and willingness to iterate quickly.
• U.S. Person status or eligibility for required ITAR authorizations is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace and defense, advanced manufacturing, automotive, semiconductors, energy, or data centers.
• Project finance, capital project analysis, infrastructure investment, M&A diligence, transaction structuring, carve-outs, or restructuring experience.
• Exposure to program management, large-scale project delivery, government contracting, or PE/VC-backed environments.
• NetSuite or comparable ERP experience.
