Wind Tunnel Test Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Filton, Bristol Area, United Kingdom. The role is based at the Filton Low-Speed Wind Tunnel and requires frequent travel within the UK and internationally.

hirify.global develops commercial aircraft and conducts wind tunnel testing through internal facilities, external facilities, and technical partners worldwide.

What you will do

• Initiate and lead wind tunnel test campaigns at Filton and external facilities worldwide.
• Translate technical requirements into test plans, project costings, specifications, programmes, and memoranda.
• Coordinate technical specialists and liaise with external wind tunnel facility operators.
• Support safe and successful test execution during intensive testing periods.
• Validate aerodynamic results and collaborate with the wider Aerodynamics team across digital workflows.

Requirements

• Degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent professional experience in applied aerodynamics.
• Technical knowledge of wind tunnel testing methodologies, experimental hardware, and data correction techniques.
• Experience in technical project management, team leadership, and stakeholder management.
• Strong analytical skills and digital proficiency.
• Ability to travel within and outside the UK is required.
• Subject to BPSS and Export Control checks, including a criminal record check.
