What you will do

• Oversee daily R&D facility operations and coordinate technicians' tasks and schedules.
• Perform hands-on builds of electro-mechanical hardware including jigs, fixtures, and wiring harnesses.
• Execute and document engineering test routines for electrical and mechanical design reviews.
• Manage asset maintenance, equipment calibration, and 5S workplace optimization.
• Serve as the safety lead, ensuring compliance with company protocols and regulatory standards.
• Mentor and train technicians on technical skills and operational protocols.

Requirements

• HNC or Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a test-focused role or test equipment development.
• Proven experience in personnel supervision, coaching staff, and managing workloads.
• Competence in electrical and electronic engineering environments.
• Working knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and embedded software toolchains.
• Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.

Nice to have

• Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
• High competence with National Instruments LabView and TestStand.
• Experience creating or modifying software scripts in Python, Visual Basic, C, or C++.
• Expertise in Verification & Validation (V&V) processes and tools.
• Experience in the offshore or subsea industry.
