Payroll Manager, EMEA (EURASIA) (Payroll/Compliance): Leading end-to-end EMEA payroll operations with an accent on accuracy, tax compliance, labor-law requirements, audit readiness, and team performance. Focus on managing complex regional payrolls, improving payroll systems and processes, coordinating vendors and stakeholders, and resolving issues with timing and tax implications.

Location: Remote work available from hirify.global locations worldwide; the position is administratively posted under Poland, but is open to candidates across all hirify.global locations.

What you will do

  • Manage end-to-end payroll cycles across EMEA, ensuring accurate and timely processing and approving applicable payroll-related payments.
  • Conduct payroll audits and prepare internal and external audit documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with regional and country-specific labor laws, tax requirements, and payroll controls.
  • Lead payroll team performance, capacity planning, development, leave scheduling, and hiring decisions.
  • Maintain payroll process documentation, support system enhancements, and troubleshoot issues with HRIS and IT teams.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, vendors, and internal stakeholders on reporting, payroll insights, service tickets, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Human Resources, or 7–9 years of related payroll experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience processing and managing complex EMEA payrolls, including tax, compliance, and labor-law requirements.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience, including leading change and implementing new processes or standards.
  • CPP certification.
  • Strategic approach to resolving payroll issues while considering timing and tax implications.
  • Fluent English is required; additional European languages are a plus.

Nice to have

  • Vendor relationship management experience.
  • Proficiency with payroll systems and reporting tools.
  • Experience with payroll and time-system implementations or M&A activities.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills.
