EMEA Payroll Specialist

Location: Remote or hybrid work with an office in Gdańsk, Poland

Salary: 10,000–12,000 PLN gross per month. Fixed-term replacement contract for 18 months, with a possibility of extension.

hirify.global is hiring for a client requiring EMEA payroll operations support.

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end payroll processes across multiple European countries and ensure accurate, timely employee payments.
• Coordinate payroll activities with external providers, regional HR teams, internal stakeholders, and Finance.
• Ensure compliance with local tax, social security, employment legislation, GDPR, and internal policies.
• Prepare statutory payroll reports, tax filings, and year-end declarations.
• Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records, perform reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies and employee queries.
• Improve payroll processes and support payroll system implementation, integration, and optimization projects.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience processing payroll across multiple European countries.
• Experience working with external payroll providers and managing regional payroll operations.
• Advanced English proficiency at C1 level or higher, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of payroll systems, processes, and applicable European regulations and taxation systems.
• Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience with payroll software.
• Familiarity with payroll regulations in markets such as the UK, Germany, or France.
