Operational Procurement Lead Buyer (SAP)

What you will do

• Lead daily purchasing operations, including purchase order creation, tracking, and expediting for switchgear components.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies, delivery delays, and quality issues with accounts payable and quality assurance teams.
• Align procurement schedules with project timelines and production demands to ensure material availability.
• Monitor and report supplier performance metrics, including on-time delivery and quality.
• Negotiate operational terms, lead times, and pricing with local and international suppliers.
• Optimize procurement workflows and maintain accurate master data in SAP ERP systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• 10+ years of experience in operational procurement or supply chain management, preferably in energy, grid technologies, or heavy manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of operational procurement and supplier relationship management.
• Proficiency in SAP MM and data analysis or reporting.
• Strong problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization is required.
