Assurance Senior Associate - Private Client Services

Location: Toronto, Canada; consistent onsite presence during core business hours and regular attendance at a firm office and client sites required

Salary: CAD 58,500–101,600 per year, plus discretionary performance-based bonus

What you will do

• Coordinate audits, review engagements, compilations, financial statements, disclosures, and related tax deliverables.
• Apply hirify.global’s review, compilation, and audit methodology using a risk-based engagement approach.
• Identify industry-specific accounting and auditing issues and determine appropriate audit procedures.
• Prepare financial statement feedback, board communications, deficiency letters, management letters, and other client deliverables.
• Supervise associates, monitor engagement productivity and budgets, and communicate significant matters to managers and partners.
• Manage multiple projects, address client concerns, support business development opportunities, and maintain professional knowledge.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or another discipline from an accredited university.
• Active CPA license or demonstrated progress toward CPA licensure in the province of residence, including required CPA PEP courses from CPA Canada.
• 2–3 years of recent assurance experience in a public accounting environment.
• Working knowledge of GAAP, CASs, or other relevant accounting and auditing standards.
• Experience supporting audit engagements from planning through completion, including testing, financial statement preparation, workpaper review, and staff mentoring.
• Ability to maintain consistent onsite presence, regularly report to a firm office, travel to client sites, and access reliable transportation.
