Audit Manager (Data, AI, Third Party and Project)

Location: Toronto, ON; hybrid arrangement with 1–3 days per week on-site at Toronto-81 Bay, 34th Floor

What you will do

• Participate in or manage risk-based internal audits across data, AI, third-party and project risk.
• Evaluate the design and effectiveness of processes and controls through testing and continuous monitoring.
• Review corrective action evidence and validate whether identified risks have been remediated.
• Provide consultation and control guidance to Internal Audit teams and management.
• Communicate risk and control trends, audit findings and review results to senior management and stakeholders.
• Prepare high-quality audit procedures and documentation in line with CIBC Internal Audit methodology.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of audit experience with knowledge of audit practices, control testing, risk assessment and audit documentation.
• Experience or exposure to Data Governance, Data Management, AI Governance, Records Management, Third Party Risk or Project Risk processes and controls.
• Ability to analyze operations, identify key risks, determine audit approaches and write clear reports for senior leadership.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
• Legally eligible to work at the specified location in Canada; a valid work or study permit may be required.

Nice to have

• Certification or equivalent knowledge in DCAM, NIST AI Risk Management Foundations, AAIA, Certified Third Party Risk Professional, PMP or CISA.
• Experience using data analytics or artificial intelligence to improve audit efficiency and effectiveness.
