Trainer (Medicaid)

Location: On-site in Sacramento, California, United States. Work an assigned eight-hour shift between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM Pacific Time, Monday through Friday. Project duration: November 2, 2026 to February 1, 2027.

Salary: $30–35 per hour.

What you will do

• Deliver instructor-led, virtual, webinar-based, on-the-job, and blended training for end users, operations staff, and program stakeholders.
• Facilitate courses supporting operational readiness, system adoption, compliance, and non-technical skill development.
• Adapt delivery methods to different learning styles, experience levels, and audience needs.
• Collaborate with business units, subject matter experts, and instructional designers to identify learning needs and validate training materials.
• Develop and maintain lesson plans, facilitator guides, participant materials, job aids, presentations, manuals, and handouts.
• Provide post-training coaching and support, maintain training records, and contribute to curriculum and learner-experience improvements.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and learner engagement techniques.
• Experience facilitating both in-person and virtual learning programs and using business software and virtual learning platforms.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, communication, technical writing, proofreading, editing, organizational, and project management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus three to five years of experience in training delivery, facilitation, adult learning, or employee development.
• Microsoft Office experience, including Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering training on enterprise systems or in Medicaid, health and human services, or public sector environments.
