Training Specialist - Quality

Location: Northfield, Illinois, United States; willing to travel up to 25% of the time for business purposes within and outside the state.

Salary: $58,000–$87,000 annually, plus bonus and/or incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Partner with cross-functional leaders to identify training gaps and prioritize learning initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
• Plan and facilitate strategic learning events, leadership workshops, and organization-wide training programs.
• Coach subject matter experts on adult learning practices and effective technical-training delivery.
• Design competency assessments and effectiveness checks to measure training impact and drive improvements.
• Present training metrics and recommendations to executive leadership.
• Author and maintain training documentation and knowledge resources in SharePoint and learning platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Instructional Design, Training and Development, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• At least 1 year of relevant business experience.
• Experience with training needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation across the ADDIE model.
• Experience developing e-learning courses and launching them through an LMS.
• Experience with LMS administration.
• Ability to travel up to 25% for business purposes.

Nice to have

• Experience in medical device, drug, or cosmetics quality environments.
• Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements in quality-focused organizations.
• Experience facilitating in-person and virtual training for individual contributors, senior management, and executive audiences.
• Experience with PowerPoint, Word, Canva, Articulate, Camtasia, Premiere, Photoshop, or Illustrator.
