Advanced Specialist Product Engineering - Cathodes

Location: Lexington, Kentucky, United States. Full-time onsite role with up to 20% domestic or international travel. Relocation is not authorized.

Salary: $164,612–$201,193 annually, including base pay and variable incentive pay if eligible.

What you will do

• Lead product engineering activities for the Cathodes portfolio, including new cathode design, product support, product advancement, and design engineering supervision.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Application Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Portfolio Strategy teams to execute product priorities.
• Lead change management activities and maintain technical records covering experiments, decisions, risks, recommendations, and outcomes.
• Oversee prototype and pre-production builds, including test plans, technical requirements, documentation, and manufacturing scale-up readiness.
• Support manufacturing improvement projects focused on yield, productivity, cost, quality, and product specification compliance.
• Provide technical leadership for product modification, process advancement, quality improvement, cost reduction, and new product introduction projects.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline.
• At least five years of experience in product engineering, product development, materials engineering, manufacturing support, or process development.
• At least three years of experience supporting new product introduction, prototype or pre-production builds, or manufacturing scale-up.
• Experience with product specifications, technical documentation, change management, and cross-functional project execution.
• Ability to solve complex technical problems and influence Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, business, and customer-facing teams.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with ceramics, cathodes, advanced materials, or related product technologies.
• Experience with process, yield, productivity, and cost improvement in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working in a plant, laboratory, or manufacturing support environment.
• Technical leadership experience in cross-functional teams and the ability to translate customer and business needs into technical solutions.
