Senior Cost Analyst / Estimator (Space)

Location: On-site in El Segundo, California, United States

Salary: $100,000–$130,000 per year, depending on education and experience.

What you will do

• Plan and develop cost estimates, perform risk analyses, and prepare estimate documentation.
• Research technical designs, identify cost drivers, select estimating methodologies, and build dynamic system cost models.
• Analyze contractor development and production data and generate independent cost projections and assessments.
• Develop program descriptions, acquisition strategies, and supporting documents with program managers and technical teams.
• Present cost results and data-driven recommendations to government customers and senior leadership.
• Support source selection processes, technical reviews, and program management reviews.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance are required.
• 8–15 years of cost estimating and analysis experience supporting DoD/DoW, NRO, intelligence, NASA, or NOAA customers.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, statistics, science, economics, business, or a related field.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and extensive knowledge of DoD acquisition and PPBE budget processes.
• Experience developing cost estimating relationships and methodologies, building cost models, applying inflation, analyzing risk and uncertainty, and documenting results.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Professional certification through ICEAA, PMI, DAWIA, or a similar organization.
• Four years of experience with ACEIT, USCM, SEER Software, SSCM, or NICM.
