Government Program Control Analyst

Location: San Jose, California, United States

Salary: $107,500–$155,600 USD annually for the Bay Area, plus incentive opportunities.

What you will do

• Create monthly spending forecasts and model future cash flow needs and funding gaps for multi-year programs.
• Track actual costs against baseline budgets and identify financial risks, discrepancies, and accounting errors.
• Review contract awards, ensure compliance with FAR and DFARS regulations, and support government audit documentation.
• Develop Cost Plus and Firm Fixed Price estimates using historical cost data, labor-hour forecasts, and current market rates.
• Prepare EAC reports, monthly client status reports, financial dashboards, and budget review briefings.
• Track purchase orders, review subcontractor invoices, and monitor material costs against approved bills of materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, or an MBA.
• 6+ years of experience in federal contracting.
• Expert-level Excel skills and experience with Oracle or SAP accounting systems.
• Ability to design and implement estimation and pricing tools and establish standardized policies and procedures.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
• Must be eligible for any required U.S. export authorizations.
