Medical Assistant - Lakeland, FL

Location: Onsite in Lakeland or Haines City, Florida. Schedule: four 10-hour shifts Monday–Friday, either 6:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. or 7:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., plus a rotating Saturday shift from 7:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

Salary: $21.00–$25.00 per hour

What you will do

• Escort patients, prepare exam rooms, and review and update patient health information.
• Take vital signs, perform blood draws, administer medications and immunizations, bandage wounds, and assist with clinical procedures.
• Coordinate patient scheduling, check-in and check-out, medical records, referrals, specialist visits, and care outside the clinic.
• Document accurate clinical information, process test results, and communicate results to patients as directed.
• Work with the care team to develop patient care plans, address care gaps, and conduct patient outreach.
• Maintain clinical supplies and treatment equipment.

Requirements

• At least one year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in primary care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant or related program.
• National or state-specific Medical Assistant certification or registration is strongly preferred and required where mandated by state law.
• CPR/BLS certification is required by the start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.
