HVAC Technician (HVAC)

Location: Tampa, Florida, United States. Field-based work is conducted on-site at customer locations, with regular travel and occasional overnight stays.

Hourly base pay: $18.09–$54.26.

What you will do

• Install, commission, diagnose, repair, and start up commercial HVAC systems.
• Interpret construction drawings, plans, specifications, mechanical layouts, and controls documentation while using hand tools and field equipment.
• Conduct site surveys, replacements, modifications, and start-up activities; coordinate materials, schedules, and work with other trades.
• Provide technical support, customer training, follow-up service, and direct customer communication.
• Document job progress, time, repairs, maintenance, equipment use, and required reports.
• Maintain vehicles, tools, and company equipment while enforcing safety and asset-accountability standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferably 2–5 years of commercial HVAC installation experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and handheld computers such as smartphones or iPads.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
• Regular travel and field work at customer locations are required.

Nice to have

• Technical school or formal training.
• Welding and pipefitting experience.
• State contractor licenses such as HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, or Gas Installer.
