Maintenance Technician III

Location: Visalia, California, USA; on-site

Salary: $24.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, inspect, install, adjust, and repair nursery, farm, and irrigation equipment.
• Maintain and repair pumps, motors, panels, valves, fittings, gearboxes, switches, gauges, and lubrication controls.
• Perform preventive maintenance and report corrective actions for equipment in nursery and field environments.
• Repair and replace irrigation pipes, valves, fittings, and related mechanical components.
• Perform live/dead electrical circuit tests and occasional welding, cutting, grinding, arc gouging, and plasma cutting.
• Maintain documentation, inventory, clean work areas, and safe operating conditions.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a maintenance-related field.
• Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems, 12–24V electrical systems, AC/DC electrical diagnostics, HVAC maintenance, and repair.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics and use electric and pneumatic hand and power tools.
• Ability to work independently in remote areas and collaborate with mechanics, management, and personnel.
• Valid California driver's license required.
• English communication skills required. Bilingual ability is desirable.

Nice to have

• Experience with maintenance management software, irrigation or fertigation systems, and Argus.
• Commercial Driver's License, welding, opacity testing, industrial electrical, HVAC recovery, hydraulics, or maintenance certifications.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
