TL;DR

Location: Remote within the United States, excluding North Dakota, Vermont, and Rhode Island. Specific work locations include San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area.

Salary: $95,000–$149,500 annually. For specific work locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area: $117,500–$176,500 annually.

What you will do

  • Support the development of mission, spacecraft, payload, and operational concepts.
  • Develop, allocate, trace, and verify system requirements.
  • Support spacecraft architecture, payload integration, interface management, and MBSE modeling.
  • Participate in mission planning, CONOPS development, operational readiness, integration, testing, and verification.
  • Support launch preparation, LEOP, IOT, anomaly resolution, and technical reviews.
  • Coordinate with subsystem, software, payload, ground, and mission operations teams to resolve technical issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, computer science, or a related technical field.
  • 2–5+ years of experience in systems engineering, aerospace engineering, spacecraft development, mission operations, or related fields.
  • Understanding of systems engineering fundamentals, requirements management, and integration activities.
  • Familiarity with spacecraft subsystems including ADCS, EPS, propulsion, thermal, communications, payloads, or flight software.
  • Experience with engineering analysis or modeling tools such as Python, MATLAB, STK, or similar.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance are required.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in a related discipline.
  • Experience with MBSE, SysML, Cameo, Jama, DOORS, or equivalent tools.
  • Experience supporting spacecraft integration, testing, launch, or mission operations.
  • Familiarity with satellite communications, RF systems, networking, or space mission architectures.
  • Experience working in cross-functional engineering teams.
