Senior Project Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Centennial, Colorado, United States; onsite role. U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility are required.

Salary: $143,700–$197,608.50 per year

What you will do

• Lead medium-sized technical projects and cross-functional engineering teams through the full development lifecycle.
• Oversee engineering design, development, integration, implementation, and technical evaluations.
• Prepare technical estimates, bases of estimates, proposals, contracts, and project status updates.
• Manage supplier Statements of Work, supplier issues, schedules, and return-to-green plans.
• Support risk, cost, schedule, KPI, and technical performance management for program teams.
• Coordinate with customers, stakeholders, engineering functions, and program offices while mentoring junior engineers and resolving conflicts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, equivalent work experience, or a master’s degree with applicable experience.
• Typically 8+ years of related engineering experience and a strong technical foundation.
• Experience leading technical teams, engineering projects, and complex design evaluations.
• Knowledge of cost and schedule management, EVMS, CAM, risk and opportunity management, or equivalent practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Current and active Top Secret U.S. security clearance with SCI eligibility and U.S. citizenship are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with material acquisition, supply chain management, systems engineering, and integration.
• PMP certification and proficiency with MS Project, Primavera, CAD, or engineering design tools.
• Experience with PLM, Agile, Lean methodologies, project budgets, and continuous improvement.
